This page contains the details of how we bill our clients.

All aspects of this page are reviewed yearly but subject to change at any time. Our clients will always be notified of rate changes well in advance.

Rate

We charge all work at the same hourly rate. This allows for simplicity and transparency. The rate is calculated to cover labour and expenses with a percentage of profit.

Our hourly rate is £68 GBP per hour

Regular contracts

We like to work regularly with our clients to make small incremental changes and feature updates throughout the life of their website. To encourage our clients to make a regular investment in their websites we offer a discount on the hourly rate for contracts of 6 months or over with contracted hours totalling at least 24 per month.

Our regular contract hourly rate is £58 GBP per hour

What we charge for

We charge for all time related to a project including:

  • Meetings
  • Travel time
  • Project Management
  • Consultation
  • Administration
  • Training

We usually ask you to set up and pay for most of the project expenses yourself but for any we pay for we include a 20% markup to cover the time taken to setup and bill. These expenses include:

  • Fonts
  • Hosting
  • Domain registration
  • Plugins

We also charge for other expenses related to the project including:

  • Travel
  • Accommodation (You will always be notified in advance)

All expense costs are billed at the end of the project or monthly billing cycle, depending on the nature of the project.

Payment Schedule

We develop a payment schedule for all projects.

For one-off projects this schedule takes the form of 40% before the start of work, 40% at the midpoint of the project and 20% before the launch of the website. A payment schedule will be confirmed upon development of the project schedule.

For regular contracts this schedule takes the form of all invoices being paid at the beginning of each month of work before that work takes place.

Payment Terms

Our payment terms are on receipt of invoice or on the payment date shown in the payment schedule. If this conflicts with your company’s payment terms then please discuss this with us so we can find an acceptable alternative.

Clients outside of the UK

We do not provide fixed rates in any currencies other than GBP. All invoices will be raised in GBP. Any transfer fees need to be paid for by you, the client.
