Terms & Conditions
Agreement to Terms: By entering into this agreement, you (the client) agree to adhere to the terms outlined herein for all projects undertaken with Multiple States. A brief will be provided for each project, which includes an overview of the work, cost, and schedule.
1. Responsibilities of Both Parties
You (the Client)
-
You confirm that you have the authority and capacity to enter into this agreement on behalf of your company or organization.
-
You are responsible for contracting with third-party providers (e.g., webfont, hosting, and domain services).
-
You agree to adhere to the payment schedule as specified in the project brief.
-
If you wish to cancel the project, you agree to pay for all work completed up until that point, and the contract will be terminated.
-
The price set out in the brief is based on the agreed scope of work. Should you decide to make changes or add tasks, we will provide a separate estimate.
-
You are responsible for ensuring your content and site comply with relevant legislation, including GDPR.
Us (Multiple States)
-
We agree to deliver the work as described in the brief, and we will maintain the confidentiality of any confidential information you provide.
-
We will make every effort to meet agreed deadlines. However, we are not liable for any delays due to late feedback or missing content from your side.
-
While we can discuss compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., GDPR), you must consult with legal professionals for detailed advice and compliance.
2. Technical Terms
-
We will test all work on the latest versions of major desktop and mobile browsers. If you require testing on older versions or specific operating systems, we will provide a separate estimate.
-
While we do not guarantee search engine ranking improvements, the web pages we develop will be accessible to search engines. We recommend consulting an SEO expert.
-
We will take all reasonable steps to protect against spam, phishing, and hacking. However, we are not responsible for any damage if such issues arise.
-
We are not responsible for any changes made by you or third parties before or after the website launch.
-
If you are not on a regular development contract or our Monitoring & Maintenance plan, we are not responsible for monitoring your site for issues such as downtime, spamming, or hacking.
3. Copyright & Ownership
-
You guarantee that all materials you provide (e.g., text, fonts, images) are either owned by you or that you have the necessary permissions to use them.
-
We will retain ownership of the unique combination of elements (including code) used in the final design. We will grant you an exclusive, perpetual license to use the work for this specific project unless otherwise agreed.
-
We reserve the right to showcase the project, including work-in-progress designs, on our portfolio and in promotional materials, such as articles or books, unless you request otherwise in writing.
